Ray Rice Apologizes To Baltimore Ravens Fans

The positive spin only goes so far, with so many people, and Haslam realizes that. I dont at all want people to think we think everything is great. OK? We dont, he said. We understand that in the last five years that our division rivals have been sixth, seventh, eighth in wins and weve been in the high-20s. So were not at all satisfied and its not hunky-dory.

Ray Rice apologizes to Baltimore Ravens fans in a statement

He received no jail time after applying for a pretrial intervention program. In September, TMZ published another video showing Rice striking Palmer inside the elevator, prompting outrage and calls for the NFL to increase Rices punishment. Previously, the only public video of the incident was footage of Rice dragging Palmer out of the elevator. After the release of the elevator video, the Ravens terminated Rices contract and the NFL suspended him indefinitely. The full apology letter: Dear Baltimore, This is not a farewell or goodbye. The last seven years that my family and I have spent in Baltimore have by far been the best of our lives.

Rice issues apology for his 'horrible mistake' | Oklahoma City - OKC - KOCO.com

Rice is still "hoping to relaunch his football career" and while he "hasn't visited or worked out for any NFL teams," he continues to work out in "hopes of landing another job in the NFL." Rice was arrested last Feb. 15 after the incident involving his then-fiancee and now-wife Janay Palmer in an elevator at an Atlanta City, N.J., casino. Rice was cut by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely on Sept. 8 for violating the NFL's personal-conduct policy after a second video from inside an elevator showed Rice knocking her unconscious with a punch. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell originally suspended Rice for just two games after he pleaded not guilty to a third-degree charge of aggravated assault. The initial punishment set off a social media firestorm and put Goodell on the hot seat, leading the NFL owners to approve a stricter and revised personal-conduct policy that calls for the league to hire special counsel to conduct investigations independent of the commissioner's office.
